Installation:
Remove winch cover and disconnect the switch from the control unit. Be very careful not to pull the wires out of the switch or control unit.
One end of the wiring harness has two connectors. Connect them to the switch on winch housing and to the control unit.
Route the wiring harness (the end with one connector) to second switch location. The wiring harness is 24’ long.
If it is not long enough, you will need to splice-in more wire.
If too long, just coil the extra wire and secure it with cable-ties.
To install the 2nd switch in desired location, you will need to make a rectangular hole – 1.25” wide by 2.25” high. Fit the switch in the hole to check fit (trim hole as needed) and mark the four screw locations.
Drill four screw holes with 1/8” drill bit. Pass the connector thru the hole in the back side.
Connect the harness connector to the switch connector.
Fit switch plate in the hole and attach with the four screws provided.

TRAC Angler 30 Auto Deploy Anchor Winch

Installing Anchor Winch On Boat Deck:
The anchor winch can be installed on the fore (front) or the aft (rear) of the boat.
Locate anchor roller and winch on deck in desired location. The anchor roller must be located at the edge of the deck and must be extended over the edge to allow the anchor to clear the deck when it is docked in the anchor roller.
Look below the deck and check for any obstructions underneath the desired anchor roller and winch locations. Make sure there is enough space for the rope spool on the winch to be centered on the anchor roller.
Using a marker, mark the anchor roller and winch mounting holes on the deck.
Note: There are several bolt holes in winch frame to choose from. The easiest to use are the 4 slots (2 on each end of the frame). There are also holes for the battery lead wires so you can route the wires through the deck id you desire.
Remove winch and anchor roller. Drill the holes. Bolt to deck. Use fender washers and/or marine plywood under the deck to ensure the greatest strength and to spread the load.
Wiring:
Do not use wire sizes smaller than 14 AWG with 105 degree C rated insulation.
The wires and switch are all properly connected.
You will need to route the battery wires from the winch to battery and connect the RED positive (+) wire to the silver post on the circuit breaker.
The small hole on the buss bar (flat stamped metal part with two holes) is attached to the colored post on the circuit breaker and the large hole on the buss bar is attached to the battery positive terminal.
The BLACK negative (-) wire is attached to the battery negative terminal.
Anchor Attachment:
Attach the shackle to the anchor shank eye.
Tie the rope to the anchor shackle.
Anchor Winch Operation:
To lower the anchor press and hold the switch in the “down” position for a few seconds and release the switch.

Installing Anchor Winch on Boat Deck:

Place winch on boat deck and align the center of the rope spool with the center of the anchor roller.

To expose the mounting holes, remove the four Phillips head screws that hold the cover on the winch frame and disconnect the white connector for the switch.
Mark and drill the holes. There are four 8mm bolt mounting holes and a hole for the battery lead wires.
Place the anchor winch in position and bolt to the deck. Use fender washers and/or marine plywood under the deck to ensure the greatest strength and to spread the load.

Instructions:
Choose a location on the beach where you will want to secure your watercraft.
Remove the plastic cover from the anchor and lift out the installation rod.
Place the installation rod through the small hole in the top of the anchor to form a "T" handle, used to screw the Tie Down Mate anchor into the ground or beach area.
Using downward pressure, turn the anchor in a clockwise direction until the loop is at ground level, or until the anchor is secure.
Thread the rope provided or a locking cable through the loop and tie your watercraft or boat to the other end.
A float is provided for using the Tie Down Mate in shallow water where a floating tie up is desired.
