Evercoat PVA Mold Release is a water-soluble liquid mold release that forms a smooth parting film, allowing a glossy finish on molded surfaces. This product promotes complete cure of Polyester Gel Coat.
How to Apply Evercoat PVA Mold Release
Mold Release is best applied by spraying, however, this product can also be applied with a soft bristle brush. 8 fl. oz. should cover approximately 20 sq. ft.
Apply with a small orifice spray gun using 90-100 psi or an aerosol spray.
Spray at a distance of 12-18".
Apply a mist coat followed by a heavier full wet coat.
If applying by brush, apply one full coat and allow to dry approx. 30-60 minutes before applying resin to mold.
Gel Coat Application
When used to promote the complete cure of Gel-Coat, do the following:
Apply one full wet coat by spray or brush to the uncured gel coat surface.
Allow gel coat to cure for 4-6 hours before removing mold release.
PVA Mold Release can be removed from mold or gel coat with water.

How to Use Evercoat One Step Finish Gel-Kote
Remove all paint, grease, oil, dirt or wax. Sand only affected area with coarse grit abrasive.
Wipe area clean with Evercoat Acetone.
If tinting the Gel-Kote, mix in the color prior to catalyzing the Gel Coat. Use Evercoat Color Agents (maximum 1 oz. color agent per quart of Gel-Kote).
Add the hardener to the Gel-Kote in the following proportion: 12 drops hardener to 1 ounce of Gel-Kote.
Note: the mixed product will start to gel in approximately 15 minutes. Temperatures hotter than 90°F will shorten the gel time and temperatures below 70°F will lengthen it.
Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes and apply to the repair area. Gel-Kote can be reduced for spraying by adding 10 to 15 percent of Evercoat Acetone.
Apply catalyzed Gel-Kote to a thickness of approximately 20 mils.
The formula will completely cure to a hard surface in approximately two hours.
Clean all tools with Evercoat Acetone before the product hardens.

Apply Evercoat Gel Coat Scratch Patch at temperatures 60°F or above.
Clean surface and allow to completely dry.
Apply enough product to fill scratch or chip, allowing a small excess to build up above & around area.
Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
Remove excess with plastic scraper (included).
Allow area to dry for an additional 30 minutes.
Finish area with a marine wax.
Avoid washing or scrubbing the area for 3 days.
Note: Color tends to darken after drying.
