The Sea Hawk Hawk Epoxy F4 Bridging Adhesive Filler is an easy to use adhesive designed to work with the Hawk Epoxy System. This easy to use adhesive has excellent gap filling and filleting qualities. The mixture blends with many different types of wood to allow for a natural looking fillet or gap fill.
Sea Hawk Hawk Epoxy F4 Bridging Adhesive Filler compares to West System 406 Filleting Blend
Features:
Thickens to a brown color
Ideal for gap filling and filleting
Blends with many types of wood for a natural looking fillet or gap fill
Directions For Use:
Mix the Hawk Epoxy resin and catalyst
Mix the filler thoroughly. Then blend in small amounts of filler to the mixed resin and catalyst until the desired thickness is achieved
Depending on use, mixing more or less filler will allow multiple uses with the same filler. For Example:
- If you desire a zero-sag effect mix to a very thick consistency. This can act as a filler for uneven surfaces without worry of sag
- For laminating flat panels or bonding large surfaces, filler should be mixed to a pourable or injectable consistency
- To ensure maximum adhesion strength, use only enough filler to avoid sagging or running. When using a resin/catalyst/filler mixture for bonding, a small amount of mixture should squeeze out from between the two items that are being bonded to each other when they are pushed together.
- For general bonding, filleting, or bonding hardware, mix material to a slightly to moderately thick consistency.

How to Install a Boat Keel Guard
The Megaware KeelGuard is a very simple product to install; however, the following instructions must be strictly followed. Any short cuts or missed steps will jeopardize and compromise the full bonding capabilities of the 3M adhesive. For best results, the KeelGuard should be installed at an ambient temperature of 60º or above. Typically, the Megaware KeelGuard is mounted 4 to 6 inches above the waterline on the bow, ending 2 to 3 feet or more beyond the lowest point of the Keel. If protection is required above the Boweye, a separate Bow Guard is available in 1ft to 3ft lengths.
Etch the surface where the Keel Guard will be installed.
Any fiberglass mold release agents and wax must be removed.
Use the included 3M Scotch-Brite pad.
If your boat has antifouling bottom paint applied, it must be removed to expose the original gelcoat where the Keel Guard will be installed.
Thoroughly clean the area with isopropyl alcohol.
Use paper towels or a clean rag.
Repeat until there is no sign of residue.
Do not use paint thinner or other patroleum-based cleaners.
Prime with the included 3M #94 Keel Primer
Apply a very thin coat of the included primer.
Follow the instructions attached to the applicator.
Ensure the entire area is primed, especially the edges.
Apply your Keel Guard
Pull back the center liner approximately 8-10 inches exposing the 3M adhesive.
Do not touch the adhesive with your hands.
Center the Keel Guard along the keel and press it firmly in place using your hand or supplied burnishing tool.
Continue to align the Keel Guard and peel back the center strip until the entire center is attached to the boat.
Starting at the bow, pull back the protective liner on either side of the Keel Guard.
Begin pressing it on with the burnishing tool.
Work from the center out to ensure no air is trapped between the hull and adhesive.
Continue working toward the rear until completed.
Repeat the process for the other side.
Once fully attached, use the burnishing tool to apply additional pressure to the entire Keel Guard, ensuring it is firmly attached to your boat. A rubber mallet may also be used to apply even more force to the adhesive. No curing time is required.

100% Made in the USA
Works on fiberglass and most aluminum boats
The keel of most boats is the center line running down the bottom of your boat. It generally protrudes and slices into the water. KeelShield was developed to protect your most vulnerable, and constant point of contact. Made of pure Urethane Polymers, this 5” wide rugged shield is the strongest and most durable protection for you keel from abrasions, scratches, and scars.
KeelShield is easy to install, just Prep-Peel-Stick (see our video below). Once its on you are good to go. Installation does not require time to cure. And with our exclusive 3M adhesive system, it stays on, we guarantee it.
No, KeelShield will not work on the Yamaha VX 110 and the Sea Doo 4-Tec Hull design. KeelShield is 5" wide and the jet ski hull needs to be smooth with no ridges for the product to work.
