When rolling, use only a high-quality short nap 3/8” roller cover. Apply using thin coats. For the smoothest possible finish, thin the paint approximately 10% using Sea Hawk 2053. Sharkskin has a tendency for settling to occur, especially if the paint has been on the shelf for several months. Thoroughly mix the paint before using. Before using, check the sides and bottom of the can to make sure all the pigment has been mixed in.

Finish: Semi-Gloss

Coverage: 320 Sq Ft

Application Method: Brush, Rolling, Airless Sprayer

Maximum Roller Thickness: 3/8” Nap

Number of Coats: 2

Wet Film Thickness: 5.0 mils

Dry Film Thickness: 3.1 mils

Application Temp: 50° F Min/ 95° F Max

Thinner: If necessary maximum 10% with Sea Hawk 2033

Drying Times

Substrate Temp

Touch Dry

Overcoating Time (Min)

Launch

73°F

2 hours

1 hour

12 hours

95°F

1 hour

1 hour

12 hours

Surface Preparation and Application

Previously Painted Surfaces

Known Compatibility of existing antifoulant

Power wash to remove any loose paint or other contaminants.

Scuff sand with 80 grit sandpaper, remove all residue and let dry.

Apply minimum 2 coats of Sharkskin.
